Emily Heird, LPC/MHSP
Emily Heird is a Divorce Coach, Mediator, and Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in helping individuals and families navigate the stress of the divorce process. Emily has been a divorce coach for 9 years. Emily's work focuses on collaborative divorce coaching and mediation. She brings years of experience working with children and families and has seen first-hand the effects of acrimonious divorces on all parties, particularly the children. Emily became involved with Collaborative Divorce as way to help reduce the negative impact of divorce on children and adults.
As your Collaborative Divorce Coach, she will guide the family and team through the process, facilitate open communication, and work towards peaceful resolutions. The goal is to help parties communicate, problem-solve, and reach decisions for how they want their future to look.
Emily is available to assist with many different aspects of divorce:
As a divorce coach on a collaborative divorce team.
As a mediator helping couples mediate their divorce and take agreements and parenting plans to attorneys for them to file the legal paperwork.
As a mediator helping couples with legal representation present mediate their divorce.
As a divorce coach helping individuals navigate various aspects of a divorce (from pre-divorce contemplation to support/coaching through the divorce and post-divorce recovery).
As a co-parenting coach helping those improve co-parenting skills during a divorce or post-divorce.
Helping individuals prepare for and feel confident in their approach to an upcoming divorce mediation.
Emily is a founding member and past President of Divorce Well Knoxville (formerly East Tennessee Collaborative Alliance). She currently serves as Protocol Chairperson. Emily serves on the board of the Community Mediation Center.
